Lesson 181 – I trust my brothers

‘I trust my brothers who are one with me.’

Trusting your brothers is essential to establishing and holding up your faith in your ability to transcend doubt and lack of sure conviction in yourself. When you attack a brother, you proclaim that he is limited by what you have perceived in him. You do not look beyond his errors. Rather, they are magnified, becoming blocks to your awareness of the Self that lies beyond your own mistakes, and past his seeming sins as well as yours.

Perception has a focus. It is this that gives consistency to what you see. Change but this focus, and what you behold will change accordingly.

We are back on real lessons again, and this was a long one (approx 1000 words) which was a bit of a shock to the system after the short review ones. This brought me back to the two main concepts that I grapple with daily: that the world we see has only the meaning we give it, and that we are all one.

There are a few ‘brothers’ that I’m really struggling to trust at the moment. I’m having real difficulty accepting that I could ever behave as abominably as they have and if I am truly honest my wish is to distance myself from them, not to draw them closer and merge with them.

I carried the lesson’s affirmation: It is not this that I would look upon. I trust my brothers, who are one with me, with me when I went to do the exit interviews at Maplin in Erdington. Here is a classic lesson in reading the small print, asking questions, and not making assumptions.

I agreed to carry out exit interviews for two Maplin stores, believing that I’d be interviewing members of staff who were leaving the company. To my horror, when the assignment details came through it was for interviewing 25 customers as they left the stores. Already committed, I honoured the assignment and had a most interesting two and three-quarter hours onSutton New Road.

Lesson 180 – I’m not cruel

‘God is but Love, and therefore so am I.’

(169) By grace I live. By grace I am released.
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

(170) There is no cruelty in God and none in me
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

Saw the first proof of the cover for Betrayed – it needs more work (or should I say reworking). Posted the edited manuscript. It feels like things are back on track with the novel, but it will certainly not be ready for the end of the month which is tomorrow.

Lesson 179 – Claiming grace

‘God is but Love, and therefore so am I.’

(167) There is one life, and that I share with God

God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

(168) Your grace is given me. I claim it now

God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

There were just six of us in the ACIM study group this evening. We looked at (one of the 50) the principles of miracles – number 26. ‘Miracles represent freedom from fear. ‘Atoning’ means ‘undoing.’ The undoing of fear is an essential part of the Atonement value of miracles.

Freedom from fear is easy when you realise that we world we are afraid of is simply a world we are projecting. Like we created a film, projected it as a hologram or 3D film and then step into the film and believe it to be real. We experience all the emotion as though they are real, but at any time we can step out of the film, change the hologram and return to our real selves.

Lesson 178 – God’s gift

‘God is but Love, and therefore so am I.’

(165) Let not my mind deny the Thought of God
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

(166) I am entrusted with the gifts of God
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

It was time to leave the heat and the beautiful apartment. The flight was uneventful and we landed atEastMidlandsAirportto bright sunshine and warmth. Made me want to go dancing, and I gave in to the desire. A week away and I’d forgotten some moves but they came back after a few minutes of freestyle. I was on the floor all night, didn’t even have time to get a drink from the bar.

Lesson 177 – There is no death

‘God is but Love, and therefore so am I.’

(163) There is no death. The Son of God is free.
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

(164) Now are we one with Him Who is our Source
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

If we are pure Consciousness, then we cannot die. The car may rust away, but the driver is still alive.

Lesson 176 – I am as God created me

‘God is but Love, and therefore so am I.’

(161) Give me your blessing, holy Son of God.
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

(162) I am as God created me.
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

How quickly a week’s gone by. As I am the creator of my world, the world I experience, then I’ll just have to create many more weeks like this.

I did nothing too strenuous today. The sea, sat on a rock to dry out and read a bit more David Icke. Welcomed the fact he reminded me I’m pure Consciousness and therefore capable of anything. There was more about changing the world with individual and collective focus on love.

Lesson 175 – Giving and receiving

‘God is but Love, and therefore so an I.’

(159) I give the miracles I have received.
God is but Love, and therefore so an I.

(160) I am at home. Fear is a stranger here.
God is but Love, and therefore so an I.

Well, I’ve finished editing Betrayed. Just wished I’d brought my red pen and Tippex. It left me some time to read a bit more of David Icke’s Remember Who You Are. The book goes into incredibly detail about the issues affecting the world at the moment and some of it is very depressing. I decided to skip to the end chapter where he gives his solution to what we can do to counter-balance these destructive influences and set the world on a more positive footing.

Imaging my astonishment when what he recommends is LOVE…yes Mr Icke recommends LOVE. He talks about physical reality being inter-active, that we influence as much as we are influence, that it’s a two way process. He says, and I quote: ‘We give and receive.

I had to laugh out loud and flicked back to my lesson – I give the miracles I have received.

Bearing in mind I skipped to this chapter, I can only assume that I needed to hear this at least twice today. I spent some time reflecting on what it means to give and receive, and the fact that we can’t do one without the other. They are two sides of the same coin. It also set me thinking about the nature of reality, and once again I’m forced to admit that the world I see, the world I experience is of my own making. Energy flows where attention goes. I lay down to create something beautiful and promptly fell asleep in the muggy overcast afternoon.

I trust my subconscious created something beautiful.

Lesson 174 – Giving and receiving

‘God is but Love, and therefore so am I.’

(157) Into his Presence would I enter now.
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

 (158) Today I learn to give as I receive
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

Slight variation on the gym and Jacuzzi today. Did early morning swim instead, and a run on the beach, and left before the hoards  began to surface. Its been another scorching day, and I was happy to relax and edit – actually enjoying reading Betrayed again. I’m really enjoying the apartment – wouldn’t mind a little get away like this.

Lesson 173 – Just sit back and be lead

‘God is but Love, and therefore so am I’

I will step back and let Him lead the way.
God is but Love, and therefore so am I

I walk with God in perfect holiness.
God is but Love, and therefore so am I

Felt delicate all day from the pint and a half of larger last night. I should have said no to their hospitality, should have had more will power. Even the hour on the treadmill and the half hour in the Jacuzzi couldn’t shift the feeling. Consequently I didn’t leave the apartment all day, and created my own little drama with a blocked shower drain which flooded the bathroom, and seeped under the door to flood my phone which was resting on the floor outside, to protect it from the steam inside!!

One positive is that I’ve finally begun to edit the proofread manuscript for Betrayed. I’m enjoying the story, despite the mass of red markings.

Lesson 172 –

‘God is but Love, and therefore so am I.’

 (153) In my defencelessness my safety lies
God is but Love, and therefore so am I

I am among the ministers of God
God is but Love, and therefore so am I

Lesson 153 above was my constant mantra today. I really dug deep when being attacked today to remember that my safety was in my defencelessness. I didn’t need to retaliate, just send the person love and remember that it was my only ministry.

We resisted the offer to spend more money converting our bought holidays into time shares, while being pleasant to the sales guy who, after all, is only doing his job.

It was a leisurely day, eating and drinking punctuated with a walk to Puerto Rico. We’ve been entreated (or should I say bribed with free drinks) to go back to tomorrow evening to the restaurant we had dinner in tonight wearing red tops to support Spain who’s playing football tomorrow night.

I’ve now dipped my feet into the icy sea. I don’t care what anybody says, the sea here is freezing. Give me the Caribbean Sea any time.
