Lesson 337 – Total protection

My sinlessness protects me from all harm.

My sinlessness ensures me perfect peace, eternal safety, Stephe's ordinationeverlasting love, freedom forever from all thoughts of loss; complete deliverance from suffering. And only happiness can be my state, for only happiness is given me. What must I do to know all this is mine? I must accept Atonement for myself, and nothing more. God has already done all things that need be done. And I must learn I need do nothing of myself, for I need but accept my Self, my sinlessness, created for me, now already mine, to feel God’s love protecting me from harm, to understand my Father loves His Son; to know I am the Son my Father loves.

You who created me in sinlessness are not mistaken about what I am. I was mistaken when I thought I sinned, but I accept Atonement for myself. Father, my dream is ended now. Amen.

I decided to take some TOIL from the writing today, and my body and mind thanked me. It allowed me to do some much needed clutter clearing, cleaning and general sprucing of my environment – great for the soul. I also spent some time with a friend who needs to make a decision about her relationship, and read another friend’s screen play.

While on a long walk in the morning I spoke to a friend who suggested that the book could easily be adapted for stage or screen (or both). Oh! I am so excited by the possibilities!!

Lesson 336 – Joining the dots

Forgiveness lets me know that minds are joined.

Stephe's ordinationForgiveness is the means appointed for perception’s endings. Knowledge is restored after perception first is changed, and then gives way entirely to what remains forever past its highest reach. For sights and sound, at best, can serve but to recall the memory that lies beyond them all. Forgiveness sweeps away distortions, and opens the hidden altars to the truth. Its lilies shine into the minds, and call it to return and look within, to find what it has vainly sought without. For here, and only here, is peace of mind restored, for this the dwelling place of God Himself.

I n quiet may forgiveness wipe away my dreams of separation and of sin. Then let me, Father, look within, and find Your promise of my sinlessness is kept; Your Word remains unchanged within my mind, Your Love is still abiding in my heart.

After last night’s experience of extreme cold, followed by extreme heat and nausea, I decided to cancel all my activities for the day and have a day of rest, and allow myself to celebrate completing the novel.

I watched two comedy films, Nativity and one whose title I’ve forgotten already, but which was very funny. It was great therapy.

Lesson 335 – What a great choice

I choose to see my brother’s sinlessness.

WWB Christmas doForgiveness is a choice. I never see my brother as he is, for that is far beyond perception. What I see in him is merely what I wish to see, because it stands for what I want to be the truth. It is to this alone that I respond, however much I seem to be impelled by outside happenings. I choose to see what I would look upon, and this I see, and only this. My brother’s sinlessness shows me that I would look upon my own. And I will see it, having chosen that I would look upon my own. And I will see it, having chosen to behold my brother in its holy light.

What could restore Your memory to me, except to see my brother’s sinlessness? His holiness reminds me that he was created one with me, and like myself. In him I find myself, and in Your Son I find the memory of You as well.

Full on day. Began with rehearsal for Don Giovanni, followed by Writers Without Borders Christmas do, and finally on to my friend’s ordination where I performed a poem for him.

I’m ready

I’m ready to soar
To fly high in the sky
To unclip you wings
And spread them wide
I’m ready to glide on the currents of love
To swirl and twirl
To feel the air in my feathers
I’m ready to sing
To twerp and tweet
To feel the highest branches beneath my feet
I’m ready to hover
By the beating of my own wings
I’m ready to stretch life
Until it pings

It was very well received, and one of the other ministers asked if she could have permission to use it in her prayer group. I said yes of course, and wondered what it is with me and churches at the moment.

I had a strange night feeling nauseous and very cold. Louise Hay says its nursing old hurts. Seems I have more forgiveness to do.

Lesson 334

Today I claim the gifts forgiveness gives.

I will not wait another day to find the treasures that my Father WP_000193offers me. Illusions are in vain, and dreams are gone even while they are woven out of thoughts that rest on false perceptions. Let me not accept such meagre gifts again today. God’s Voice is offering the peace of God to all who hear and choose to follow Him. This is my choice today. And so I go to find the treasures God has given me.

I seek but the eternal. For Your Son can be content with nothing less than this. What, then, can be his solace but what You are offering to his bewildered mind and frightened heart, to give him certainty and bring him peace? Today I would behold my brother sinless. This Your Will for me, for so will I behold my sinlessness.

The big news today is that I finished the first draft of the book at 20.50. Turned out to be 48,000 words. Feel elated, but can’t afford a drink as I’ve got such a busy day tomorrow.

Lesson 333 – No more conflicting dreams

WP_000188Forgiveness ends the dream of conflict here.

Conflict must be resolved. It cannot be evaded, set aside, denied, disguised, seen somewhere else, called by another name, or hidden by deceit of any kind, if it would be escaped. It must be seen exactly as it is, where it is thought to be, in the reality which has been given it, and with the purpose that the mind accorded it. For only then are its defences lifted, and the truth can shine upon it as it disappears.

Father, forgiveness is the light You choose to shine away all conflict and all doubt, and light the way for our return to You. No light but this can end our evil dream. No light but this can save the world. For this alone will never fail in anything, being Your gift to Your beloved Son.

I drove into daybreak on the way to Manchester, after waking at 5 a.m. and fitting in about 500 words on the book. Fitted in another 300 while I waited on his drive for my son to come home, as he’d forgotten I was coming and was at his friend’s house. My work there was quick and clinical and I was back on the road home by 12.15.

The rest of the day was spent at the Ramada Penns Lane hotel (used to be the hotel used in Crossroads many years ago). Gym, spa, and afternoon tea. Gave the ACIM support group a miss and ended with a couple of hundred words to round off the word count to 1000. Slid down between the sheets feeling very satisfied.

Lesson 332 – Forgiveness sets us free

Fear binds the world. Forgiveness sets it free.

The ego makes illusions. Truth undoes its evil dreams by shining them away. Truth never makes attack. It merely is. And by its presence is the mind recalled from fantasies, awaking to the real. Forgiveness bids this presence enter in, and take its rightful place within the mind. Without forgiveness is the mind in chains, believing in its own futility. Yet with forgiveness does the light shine through the dream of darkness, offering it hope, and light shine through the dream of darkness, offering it hope and giving it the means to realise the freedom that is its inheritance.

We would not bind the world again today. Fear holds it prisoner. And yet Your Love has given us the means to set it free. Father, we would release it now. For as we offer freedom, it is given us. And we would not remain as prisoners, while You are holding freedom out to us.

Yesterday I had a complete plan of the last story; today I began writing in earnest. Hit my word count before one o’clock but alas had a lot of other things to deal with today. Lots of opportunities to practice forgiveness while dealing with council workers over the phone.

Met with a friend, a Nigerian prince, who said his sisters funeral earlier this month made him realise that the important thing in life is to know yourself and to help make a difference in other people’s lives. It shouldn’t always have to take a death for this message to come home, but better then than never. Love is everything.

Lesson 331 – No conflict, we both want the same thing

 What is the ego? (Reading)

The ego is idolatry; the sign of limited and separated self, born in a body, doomed to suffer and to end its life in death. It is the ‘will’ that sees the Will of God as enemy, and takes a form in which it is denied. The ego is the ‘proof’ that strength is weak and love is fearful, life is really death and what opposes God alone is true.

The ego is insane. In fear it stands beyond the Everywhere, apart from All, in separation from the Infinite. In its insanity it thinks it has become a victor over God Himself. And in its terrible autonomy it ‘sees’ the Will of God has been destroyed. It dreams of punishment, and trembles at the figures in its dreams; its enemies, who seek to murder it before it can ensure its safety by attacking them.

Lesson 331

There is no conflict, for my will is Yours. (Lesson)

How foolish, Father, to believe Your Son could cause himself to suffer! Could he make a plan for his damnation, and be left without a certain way to his release? You love me, Father. You could never leave me desolate, to die within a world of pain and cruelty. How could I think that Love has left Itself? There is no will except the Will of Love. Fear is a dream, and has no will that can conflict with Yours. Conflict is sleep, and peace awakening. Death is illusion; life, eternal truth. There is no opposition to Your Will. There is no conflict, for my will is yours.

Forgiveness shows us that God’s Will is One, and that we share it. Let us look upon the holy sights forgiveness shows today, that we may find the peace of God. Amen.

As the plot for the last story emerged and the themes were layered on top, it became clear that the main thread is forgiveness. Finally I get to fictionalise it. I was very, very excited and wanted to plunge straight into writing, but alas the rest of life crept in and took over. I’ll set to it straight away tomorrow.

I am always amazed when I open up and let the characters tell their stories.

Lesson 330 – No more hurting

I will not hurt myself again today.

Let us this day accept forgiveness as our only function. Why should we attack our minds, and give them images of pain? Why should we teach them they are powerless, when God holds out His power and His Love, and bids them take what is already theirs? The mind that is made willing to accept God’s gifts has been restored to spirit, and extends its freedom and its joy, as is the Will of God united with its won. The Self which God created cannot sin, and therefore cannot suffer. Let us choose today that He be our Identity, and thus escape forever from all things the dream of fear appears to offer us.

Father, Your Son can not be hurt. And if we think we suffer, we but fail to know our one Identity we share with You. We would return to It today, to be made free forever from all our mistakes, and to be saved from what we thought we were.

Since Thursday I’ve been nursing a hurt, or at least challenging myself to not give in to the ego’s notion that I can be hurt. But still it persisted, until I recognised last night before I went to bed that the reason I was hurting was because I had not forgiven myself, therefore I could not forgive the person I held responsible for my hurt. When I approached me with a bit more compassion I was able to do the same for him, and release him from any guilt I tried to heap on him.

As a friend of mine so helpfully reflected back to me, ‘you get yourself in these situations, but you seem to get out of them quicker each time.’ Yes, it is indeed progress, and today I did not hurt myself, and neither did I try to hurt anyone else.

Lesson 329 – Your choice every time

I have already chosen what You will.

Father, I thought I wandered from Your Will, defied it, broke its laws, and interpreted a second will more powerful than yours. Yet what I am in truth is but Your Will, extended and extending. This am I, and this will never change. As You are One, so am I with You. And this I chose in my creation, where my will became forever one with Yours. That choice was made for all eternity. It cannot change, and be in opposition to itself. Father, my will is yours. And I am safe, untroubled and serene, in endless joy, because it is Your Will that it be so.

Today we will accept our union with each other and our Source. We have no will apart from His, and all of us are one because His Will is shared by all of us. Through it we recognise that we are one. Through it we find our way at last to God.

I had a safe, untroubled and serene day, filled with joy, much of which came from reviewing the DVD of Caribbean Juices and reliving again the laughter of happy energy of the night. It was hard to know which bits to select for the montage my son is going to create for me. That was followed by Blades of Glory with Will Farrel, and there were parts where I had to hold my sides from laughing.

When my 6.30 visitor ditched me in favour of the German Market I seized the opportunity to squeeze in a few more words on the book as I was seriously behind on my word count. In just a few hours I’d increased it by 3000 words and went to bed very happy. It now looks very possible to finish the 6th story my tomorrow. I feel on purpose!

Lesson 328 – Second over first

I choose the second place to gain the first.

What seems to be the second place is first, for all things we perceive are upside down until we listen to the Voice for God. It seems that we sill gain autonomy but by our striving to be separate, and that our independence from the rest of God’s creation is the way in which salvation is obtained. Yet all we find is sickness, suffering and loss and death. This is not what our Father will for us, nor is there any second to His Will. To join with His is but to find our own. And since our will is His, it is to Him, it is to Him that we must go to recognise our will.

There is no will but Yours. And I am glad that nothing I imagine contradicts what You would have me be. It is Your Will that I be wholly safe, eternally at peace. And happily I share that Will which You my Father, gave as part of me.

Awake at 4 a.m. to write the book, writing meeting at 9.30 a.m. spiritual fair at 12.30 p.m. home from the drizzle and cold 2.30 p.m. A most amazing set of readings with words like ‘your words are gold, they’re very valuable… you are very powerful… you need to stop focusing on time on more on the process… you need to let your inner child play more and open up your heart more… explore the meaning of Venus and your connections to Egypt.

I’d planned to do some more writing today but decided to talk to a friend and watch a few more comedy films instead.
