Lesson – Rest day

Sickness is but another name for sin.
Healing is but another name for God.
The miracle is thus a call to Him.

Father, You promised you would never fail to answer any call your Frankfurt Market, BirminghamSon might make to You. It does not matter where he is, what seems to be his problem, not what he believes he has become. He is your Son, and You will answer him. The miracle reflects You Love, and thus it answers him. Your Name replaces every thought of sin, and who is sinless cannot suffer pain. Your Name is but to call his own.

I allowed myself the luxury of a lie in today, basking in the warm glow of completion. I cleared away the flip charts on which all the characters were sketched, and attended to a pile of unopened post.

I felt a twitch of pain in my ankle before reading this lesson, and meditated on what sin I was heaping on myself to be the cause. Amazingly once I found the source and meditated on it, the pain went.

I spent much of the day attending to Christmas, wrapping presents, writing cards, catching up on correspondence, and resisting the temptation to start another book. The one I plan to begin in January. I must be strong and give myself a complete break.
