Loss of sight

Writing Creatively With Spirit

I write this inform, not to alarm.

On Friday 1st May (May Day) I lost the sight in my right eye. It was sudden. I was at the gym and at first thought my vision was blurred by sweat. Later when I left the gym I realised I couldn’t see out of my right eye.

I actually put this down to being tired and determined that a good breakfast and a bit of rest would put this right. Only after a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast, washed down with my favourite green tea, did I think to look up the condition on the internet.

Advice was to get to a specialist without delay, so I walked the ten minutes to the opticians who said ‘get to the eye hospital straight away.’ I took their advice, ordered a taxi and was there 15 minutes later –…

All about me

Tea and Ponders

I live life simply without excess and questioning not wanting. Taking things slowly like the tortoise, for I may belong to the human race but I will not to run in the rat race. I fall asleep when my body has had enough for the day, and rise when the sun taps out her message on my window to awaken me with birds singing their song. I sit looking out of windows day dreaming as I like to listen to the rhythm of rain falling on leaves, which seems like Morse Code giving me a message of hope and dry my own tears. I love to write not because I want to be the next J K Rowling but because there many stories yet unspoken and/or unheard. I choose to help another because I can and there is much darkness in the world without adding to it. I ask nothing…

Good friends

Writing Creatively With Spirit

Remembering a more relaxed time. Remembering a more relaxed time.

Sometimes, when you’re so tired, when you’re wondering if it’s all worth it, when you could put your head in your hands and cry, you get an email like the one below. And it gives you the energy to keep going. Thanks Roger.

The indefatigable author Miss Penny Dixon is reported to be totally knackered….
Dermot Murhgahan on Sky News exclaimed….. And I quote…-
 ‘No bloody wonder..!!!’
An NHS spokesman says the underlying problem is that people such as Miss Dixon have so many balls in the air at one time..
And even though they have ample skills to keep on catching them they don’t realise that some of the balls have become heavier…
She’s being advised to take a humanity check as she is only human like the rest of us.. also to throw some of the balls to one side for a while…

Writing Creatively With Spirit – 2 years on

Love is Not a Reward and accompanying Sourcebook Love is Not a Reward and accompanying Source book

I can hardly believe how much my life has changed since I started writing this blog two years ago. Then, I was tentatively putting my toes in the psychic development water. Now, while not a master of any one gift, I have been making steady progress with mediumship and giving psychic messages using a variety of objects, from crystal balls to flowers, drawings to cards.

But it is in the area of Shamanic journeying that I feel I made the biggest strides. After completing a workshop in June 2013 (The Way of the Shaman) I’ve been journeying on a regular basis. At first it was for myself, to get guidance from my spirit guides. Then I began to tentatively journey on behalf of others. This is where I get my most accurate and consistent results, closely followed by my dreams…

Minister’s day

Writing Creatively With Spirit

Reverend Stephen Bentley and some the congregation at Journey MCC Reverend Stephen Bentley and some the congregation at Journey MCC

I met with two ministers on Sunday. One was conducting his first service as a permanent pastor after some time in a temporary position. We were a mixed bunch from all walks of life. It’s also a place where lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders (LGBT) feel welcomed.

As I looked around at the small congregation I couldn’t help feeling proud of my friend who, like Jesus, has chosen to minister to those people who are considered outcasts and abominations. I asked myself, How could God have created anyone less than perfect? Who are we to question his creation and worse to deem his creation ‘wrong’ in some way? It was a lovely service and I felt privileged to have been a part of it,

Transforming Numerology

Writing Creatively With Spirit

Numerology transforms. I knew it was a way of signposting what could happen in the future by understanding the energy in our names and date of birth. I was unprepared for the spiritual transformation that happened on the 6 day intensive foundation course at the Connaissance School of Numerology in Royston, Hertfordshire. It definitely wasn’t just about the numbers.

Brilliant teacher Sonia Ducie guided us through some rocky inner journeys to bring us out safely at the other end. Lots more processing to do.

The 15th century venue sits on top of Royston Cave, a Templar’s cave previously used for ritual initiation. Also the St Michael and St Mary ley lines meet under the building. How could it not have been transformational?

Looking forward to starting the Diploma in February.
