Brindley Place Birmingham

The Brindley Place Outdoor Film Festival ended today. I came across it by accident on Thursday when I went to a meeting at the Ikon Gallery. There was a small gathering of people on the steps by the fountains on my way to the meeting. An hour later the fountains had been switched off and the area turned into an outdoor cinema, complete with popcorn, ice cream and hot dog vendors. Lovely that the weather was so good.

I meant to write this on Thursday to give those who didn’t know a chance to check it out, but life got in the way. Maybe you found it anyway. If you didn’t, it’s an annual event, watch out for it next year. As you can see from the listing, it’s a very family friendly event.
